Monstera siltepecana

Syn: Monstera ‘El Salvador, Blue Monstera, Silver Monstera 

Hailing from Central America, Monstera siltepecana is a contender for the fastest growing Monstera variant. 

With its beautiful silver-teal veined leaves, this vigorous vining plant makes lush hanging baskets, trailing pots and bushy totem poles. 

It requires no special treatment to thrive in Melbourne, tolerating a wide latitude of temperatures and liking to dry between waterings. Like all Monstera’s it will achieve the ‘eyes’ or ‘holes’ in the leaves as they mature with the leaf size topping out at 200mm if given tropical conditions. Otherwise, it will happily achieve epically long multiple vines with an average leaf size of 50-100mm in a normal Melbourne house. 

It can handle deep shade to partial sun.
